Dave’s Devotions: Doing Life Out of Who We Are Chapter 8

It is an amazing thing to understand what the bible says about the power within us as a believer in Christ. Just as a reminder I developed earlier the make-up of man. God gave us a physical body, then he put His Spirit in us and gave us a soul. (Genesis 2:7}. This was Adam before the fall. Adam had the power of the Holy spirit in him that God gave him to do life out of. Then the fall and now Adam lived only with his body and his soul, NO POWERFUL SPIRIT!

Did you know our soul contains our mind, emotion and our will. I call this our thinker our feeler and our chooser. Before we were born again the only power, we had to do life out of was just the limited resources we were born with in Adam. Then God out of His great love for us called us to Himself and sealed in us His powerful, blessed Holy Spirit. (2 Cor. 1:22, Eph 4:30). He restored us to what Adam originally was.

I love how the prophet Ezekiel says it in Ezekiel 36:25-27:

25. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new Spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances

Ezekiel hundreds of years before Christ was born prophesied that God would restore man and eventually put His powerful Spirit back into man so he could then function as one on God’s special creatures. “Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed away and the new has come. (II cor.5:17} Notice in this verse it uses the words IN CHRIST. Yes when we said yes to Christ we went from being in Adam to being IN CHRIST.

At times I say it like this. I was born in Adam. So, what happened to Adam happened to me and what was true about Adam was true about me. Likewise, when I was born IN CHRIST, what happened to Christ happened to me and what is true about Christ is true about me.

God knows that we cannot live the Christian life. We were never designed to live the Christian life. Therefore, He put His Holy Spirit in us. God knew that only Christ could live the Christian life and He now lives IN US. Christ will live His life through us. If we let Him, He will affect our thinker our feeler and our chooser. His power will flow though us and there is nothing He can’t do though us. He can even take a person who knows nothing about camp and building a camp and do unbelievable miracles. Amen

Zipline

Hooked into a full body harness and swinging 30 feet in the air our big swing is one of the best ways to push you out of your comfort zone while remaining safely secured.

Low Ropes

The low ropes course is a great way to do team building and bring your group closer together through challenging obstacles and puzzle.

High Ropes

Our High Ropes course is a blast for anyone looking to challenge themselves while remaining safely harnessed to the course!

Archery

We have an archery house in the woods by our low and high ropes course where you can harness your inner hunter and hit a bullseye!

Fishing Lake

The Fishing Lake is were a place to have fun catching catfish and sun fish!

Canoe Lake

The Canoe Lake is, you guessed it, the lake we use for our canoes! We have 9 canoes and enough paddles and lifejackets to more than equip our guests for their canoeing adventures.

Activity Lake

The Activity Lake is one of our many water activities in which we have our Wibit which is an obsticle course along with the Wet Willy, our water slide, and the wet zip which is a zip line that goes into the lake.

Gym

The Gym is a place for fun, games and excitement. We have 2 full size basketball courts with a curtain that can be pulled down the middle of the gym for contained games.

Amphitheater

The Amphitheater is an incredible gathering place for teaching, worship, and just sitting in peace.

Corral

The Corral is our main meeting space, it has a complete plug and play sound system accompanied by a lighting system with two full screen projectors with space enough to seat 500 people

Apartments

The Apartments make up 2 corners of the fort and we have a two bedroom and a 3 bedroom apartment. Each with a kitchen, living room, and queen beds in each room.
